The ETI KZS-2M differential circuit breaker is designed for protecting electrical circuits against overload, short circuit, and leakage current in residential, administrative, and small commercial installations. It combines the functions of an automatic circuit breaker and a residual current device in one housing, which makes it suitable for distribution boards where compact protection of a single-phase line is required. The 1+N pole configuration is intended for circuits with a phase conductor and neutral conductor, which is typical for lighting, socket, and general-purpose branch circuits. With a rated current of 20 A, this device is suitable for medium-load circuits. The C tripping characteristic makes it appropriate for lines with moderate inrush currents, such as circuits supplying appliances with motors or other equipment that briefly draws higher current during startup. The breaking capacity of 10 kA allows the device to operate in networks where higher short-circuit currents may occur, expanding its use in installations with more demanding fault-current conditions. The residual current sensitivity is 0.01 A, providing a high level of protection against dangerous leakage currents. This value is especially relevant where enhanced personal protection is needed, because the device disconnects the circuit at very low leakage levels. Type A means the breaker responds not only to sinusoidal alternating residual currents, but also to pulsating direct residual currents, which is important in modern installations with electronic loads and household appliances. The unit operates at a nominal frequency of 50/60 Hz and complies with IEC/EN 61009, the standard for differential circuit breakers. The specified conductor cross-section range of 1–25 mm² supports connection of commonly used cables and conductors during panel installation.
