ETI EFI-4 is a residual current device designed to protect electrical circuits from leakage currents and to improve the safety of installations in residential, commercial, and industrial distribution boards. It is used where continuous monitoring of differential current is required and where the circuit must be disconnected promptly in the event of insulation failure or accidental contact between live parts and earth. The device is rated for a nominal current of 80 A and operates in AC networks with a rated voltage of 415 V and a frequency of 50/60 Hz. The 3+N pole configuration makes it suitable for three-phase four-wire circuits with a neutral conductor. Type AC indicates use in circuits where sinusoidal alternating residual currents may occur. The residual operating current is 0.5 A, defining the trip threshold for leakage protection. Installation is performed on a TH 35 DIN rail, which simplifies integration into modular distribution boards together with other protective devices. With a body depth of 68 mm, the device is easy to take into account during panel layout and space planning. The terminal design supports conductors with cross-sections from 1 to 25 mm², allowing connection of commonly used wiring in power and distribution lines. The rated short-circuit current Inc is 10 kA, which makes the device suitable for networks with increased requirements for breaking capacity. Protection degree IP20 indicates indoor installation inside electrical enclosures and protection against access to hazardous parts by a finger and against the ingress of medium-sized solid objects. The device complies with IEC/EN 61008, confirming its classification as a residual current protective device and its conformity with the relevant technical standard.
