Residual current device ETI EFI-2 100/0.3 Type A 10kA (2062534)

ETI EFI-2 is a residual current device designed to monitor leakage currents and disconnect the circuit automatically when an unsafe difference between outgoing and return currents occurs. It is used in residential and commercial electrical installations where additional protection against electric shock and the consequences of insulation faults is required. The device is rated for a nominal current of 100 A and a residual current setting of 0.3 A. Its 1+N pole configuration makes it suitable for single-phase circuits with neutral, while the rated AC voltage of 230 V corresponds to standard single-phase supply systems. Type A indicates response not only to sinusoidal alternating residual currents, but also to pulsating direct residual currents, which is important in circuits feeding modern electrical equipment. The device has a nominal short-circuit current Inc of 10 kA, allowing it to be used in networks with the corresponding prospective fault-current level. Installation is carried out on a TH 35 DIN rail, which simplifies mounting inside distribution boards and ensures compatibility with common modular panel layouts. The housing depth is 69 mm, which should be taken into account when planning enclosure space and device arrangement. Connection of conductors is supported in the range from 1 mm² to 35 mm², providing compatibility with commonly used cable and wire cross-sections in switchboard wiring. The IP20 protection rating indicates protection against finger contact with hazardous live parts, so the unit is intended for installation inside an electrical enclosure rather than in exposed locations. The device complies with IEC/EN 61008, the standard governing residual current devices without integral overcurrent protection. This makes EFI-2 suitable as a dedicated differential protection device in installations where residual-current monitoring is required as a separate function from overload and short-circuit protection.
