This residual current device from ETI is intended for protection of electrical circuits against leakage currents and for improving the operational safety of electrical installations in residential, commercial, and small industrial facilities. It is used in distribution boards to disconnect a circuit when a dangerous differential current appears, helping reduce the risk of electric shock and limiting possible damage to connected equipment. The device is built in a 1+N configuration, meaning one protected pole together with neutral, which is a common solution for single-phase circuits. Its rated current is 25 A, while the residual current sensitivity is 30 mA (0.03 A). This combination is suitable for group lines where standard protection against leakage currents is required. Type A characteristics indicate response not only to alternating residual current, but also to pulsating direct residual current, which makes the device suitable for circuits feeding household appliances, electronic power supplies, and similar loads. The permitted conductor cross-section ranges from 1 to 25 mm², allowing connection of commonly used cable lines.
