050177 Plug 2K+E 16A straight entry Black

Legrand 050177 is a two-pole plus earth plug designed for connecting electrical appliances to household and similar mains with a protective contact. The 2K+E configuration means two current-carrying poles and a separate grounding contact, which allows safe connection of equipment that requires earthing. With a rated current of 16 A, this model is suitable for many standard household devices and for selected professional loads, provided the electrical characteristics of the network match the plug rating. The body is made of plastic, with thermoplastic used as the material grade. This material is commonly applied in electrical installation products because it provides electrical insulation and allows the manufacture of a compact housing. The black finish makes the plug suitable for installations where a discreet appearance is preferred or where it should match other wiring accessories and equipment. Connection is made by means of a screw terminal, which secures the conductors with a screw clamping mechanism. This type of terminal is widely used for assembling power cords and connecting cables in a controlled and serviceable way. The straight connection angle means the cable enters linearly, without a right-angle bend, which is convenient when a direct cable entry is needed and the connection assembly must remain compact. The IP20 degree of protection indicates use in dry indoor environments and protected installation areas, where the product is not exposed to moisture or significant dust ingress. The plug is not intended for heavy-duty conditions according to VDE, so it should be used in standard operating environments only. In practice, this plug is used for mains leads, portable appliances, extension cords, and other electrical equipment that require a detachable connection with earthing. Its combination of a grounded design, 16 A rating, screw terminal, straight cable entry, and thermoplastic housing makes it suitable for everyday electrical installation tasks in residential and similar applications.
